News in the music department…as the new music teacher I’m happy to report that the year is off to a great start!  It’s been a real treat getting to know all of the students, and everyone is doing well in both Music Appreciation and Chorus classes.  Charleston school has some really good singers—if you encourage your children to sing around the house more, they just might surprise you with their hidden talent!  The band is doing great and they will be performing for you in two upcoming concerts.  Keep them practicing---Thanks.

The Veteran’s Day concert is fast approaching: Thursday, November 12^th.  The concert will be held in the morning and I’ll be sending out more details soon.  The Holiday Concert date will be decided next month and I’ll keep you posted on that.  The beginning instrumentalists will be performing at the holiday event and I’m certainly looking forward to hearing their debut!  (Really keep them practicing…)
